Hot Fruit Punch (Guatemala)

Ponche Caliente de Frutas

1 box of raisins, soaked in water
1/2 cup dried albaricoques (will translate later)
1/2 cup dried apples, and cubed apple pieces
2 oz. prunes
1 pineapple
2 sticks cinnamon
2 pimientas gordas (will translate later)
4 whole cloves
1 whole allspice
1 orange peel
Sugar to taste
10 cups water

Chop the dried fruit, finely chop the pineapple. Put all fruit in a pot and cover with water, allowing to boil until the fruit has been cooked. Remove from heat and add the sugar. Serve hot in cups with fruit.
